Mr. Handsome

William Holznagel

...has built and performed with puppets for the past eight years, working with such companies as Olde World Puppet Theatre, Tears of Joy Theatre, NW Children's Theatre, Michael Curry Designs, Pete Stone Photography, and OMSI. Recent titles include: Lead Builder for an adaptation of "A Ride on the Red Mare's Back" by Ursula K. Le Guin, Builder for Ojai Valley Land Conservancy's Topa-Luna, and Sculptor for Tears of Joy Theatre's production of Perseus, Hero of Ancient Greece.

For the past three years, Bill has been involved with all aspects of developing classic and original works with Il Teatro Calamari as well as touring the United States, Brazil, and Bulgaria.

Cherie Panek

is a graduate of Kent State University where she received a BFA in acting. Along with a list of classical roles Cherie has studied and performed
puppetry and object theater with world class directors Eric Bass, Jon Ludwig and Larry Reed. She has had the privilege and honor to work and perform with such companies as Sandglass Theater, Lunatique Fantastique, Tears of Joy and presently Il Teatro Calamari. She has recently been exploring the creation of her own work and attended the National Puppetry Conference in Waterford Connecticut where she directed and work-shopped her piece "Within the Hush" She believes in the Peter Pan Theory of listening to and being connected with the child within.

Tim Giugni

...has been a puppeteer and actor since age 10. Some of his best previous rolls include, "I'm Too Sick to go to School Today", "Third Duck on the Right", and "Spoon River Anthology". Tim has worked for many companies including the Center for Puppetry Arts in Atlanta, Georgia, Tears of Joy Theater, DragonMakers and Oregon Puppet Theatre. Awards include Best Actor, from the 2001 Pierrot Festival of Puppetry for Adults, Stara Zagora, Bulgaria and an Emmy for Puppetry and Puppet Construction for "The Land of I". You can also see him on the end of the Baby Mozart video that he did some puppetry for under the name of Tom. He is the founder and Artistic Director of Il Teatro Calamari, a company renowned for its uses of puppetry, mask and physical theatre.
